First measure up the entire room to calculate how much skirting you need, and always buy extra to account for any mistakes.
Use a handsaw and a mitre box to saw the list to the right angle, or alternatively use a mitre saw and a suitable blade. Treat the cut points with sandpaper (max 150) and remove the sawdust with a damp sponge
Install the mouldings so that the seams are even.
Finish the joints by removing any excess glue and smoothing the seams. Allow to dry for at least six hours, then carefully sand the seams and apply adhesive to the ceiling and wall joints.
Wait at least six hours before painting the mouldings in the hue of your choice, either with a roller or a brush.
